Rock River Retreat Guest Suite

A retreat for lovers, families with kids and dogs, birders, or for artists and writers. The space has been described by guests as magical, spacious, peaceful, & like a fairy tale. It captures stunning views of the river and countryside from the queen bed and every back window. It is very quiet, but you can hear the river if you open the windows. Flocks of wild birds float into the feeders outside your window throughout the day.

A gorgeous, large, renovated bathroom with oversized freestanding tub, river views, and a cozy electric fireplace provide a luxurious spa-like experience.

We have a luscious queen bed in the sleeping room with a library/ chess nook. The sitting room offers a full-sized day bed with a pillow top mattress, and a twin trundle tucked away. With two large rooms, there is ample space to move around and sleep 4.

We offer free wifi, and an extensive en-suite movie library. We want you to enjoy your time here away from the “real world” so we do not have local channels or cable access from the TV. We do have a speaker console for your smartphone to play music or podcasts.

We offer a limited kitchenette with sink, mini-refrigerator/freezer, coffeemaker, electric kettle, toaster, induction burner, and microwave. We provide coffee, tea, and hot chocolate mix to start or end your day. We do not have a range or oven in the space, but we have an induction burner in the space and a mini Weber charcoal grill available upon request (please bring your own self-lighting charcoal for use). We ask that you wash, dry, and put away your dishes after use, or we will gladly do them for you for a $25 fee.

PET INFO: Your pets are welcome for an additional fee of $10 per pet per day. IF ANIMALS MUST BE LEFT ALONE IN THE SPACE WE REQUIRE THAT THEY ARE SECURED IN A CRATE – this goes for cats, too. We have an extra large crate that we can set up for you for free. Just let us know if you want to use it. Also, if any damage occurs because of your pet, you will be charged accordingly to repair or replace the damaged item/s.

While we provide basic amenities like shampoo/ body wash, hand soap, and lotion, some additional amenities have been provided by our guests. In the interest of being as green as possible, you may find a partially used bar of soap, or a half-emptied hotel conditioner bottle. If there is something you need, please let us know. If we can get it to you, we will.
