Auditions for Marlboro Music are typically held in New York City and are scheduled as positions become available, usually every-other year for string instruments, every 2-3 years for wind instruments, and annually for voice. Piano applications are accepted on a rolling basis—please see below for application requirements and information.

3) Nielsen Quintet, Op. 43, Solo Variation

        • One Movement of choice from a Cello Suite by J.S. Bach AND One work in contrasting style, from the accompanied or unaccompanied repertoire

FLUTE

Application Requirements:             Application Form plus preliminary videos of three works (or substantial movements of works) from contrasting periods for flute and piano OR solo flute (please no concerti, chamber music, or works for alto flute or piccolo, etc.). Works for flute and piano should be recorded with a pianist.
